My sister and brother-in-law's son was born!Their baby boy, Emmett, was a "stork drop."
Stork Drops are when a baby is born and there isn't a family to go with them and the birth mother is either unable or chooses not to select a family herself.
So, it means up until the day they went to go meet him at the hospital, they had no idea of his existence. Like a stork dropping off a baby. :)
He had some medical issues (he was 4 weeks early) and spent some time in the NICU, but is now home and doing GREAT! He fits in our family so well and is absolutely the perfect baby for their family. As difficult as it was to say goodbye to baby "Troy"...saying hello to baby Emmett has made it all make sense and has made the entire journey worth it.
Heather and Zach have since met "Mama J" their birth mother. She's very excited about the family Emmett is a part of and thanked Heather and Zach over and over and over again for what they're doing for Emmett. He's got a loving stable family! Here's Emmett with his Mama and his Great-Grandmother!
